Stop Imperialism is devoted to the principle that all nations of the world have the inherent and inviolable rights of self-determination and territorial sovereignty, as well as the right to peaceful economic and political development. Nation-states must not be subjected to oppression, exploitation, coercion, or subversion at the hands of more powerful nations or empires.
Stop Imperialism stands in opposition to the forces of empire and finance which seek to dominate the world through both overt and covert means. Moreover, Stop Imperialism is intended to be both a resource of journalistic analysis and education with the expressed goal of providing thoughtful political, geopolitical, and economic analysis outside of the traditional Left/Right dichotomy.
Additionally, both the site and podcast go beyond news and analysis by exploring and critiquing the theoretical and discursive structures by which we examine world affairs with specific attention paid to political economy, geopolitical strategy, and the use of propaganda and other forms of manipulation used to shape public opinion.

Dear Eric,
In my opinion, one missing ingredient in the alternative movement is providing any religious alternative. I try to remedy that at my website.
Sincerely,
Harvey
Eric Draitser: I read your recent article RT about ACPC (Chechnya) & U.S. sponsored terrorism. You refer to U.S. *ruling class* without saying WHO they are! Here is the information. All 3 branches U.S. government and both major U.S. political parties dominated and run by LAWYERS. This is known as U.S. *legal caste*. Late American newspaper publisher E. W. Scripps wrote *If there is such a thing as true freedom and democracy then the road to that goal lies over and through the ruin and annihilation of the legal caste*. Read chapter on lawyers in bestseller book *How to Avoid Probate* by Norman Dacey (at your public library). U.S. has only about 500,000 lawyers half running & working for the government making laws to benefit the other half not in government. U.S. has government *Of the lawyers, By the lawyers and For the lawyers*.
Good points about our contemporary LEXOCRACY, “Rule by Lawyers,” not least because of the enormous surge of broadly interpretable legislation passed each year in every sector of the government.
But the lawyers are not truly the ruling class. I’d say they are more like the eunuchs of the palace, running amok and doing what they wish as long as the Mandarins are sated.
The ruling class is and remains the extra-national corporations; our legislators are little more than glorified eunuchs themselves.
When a “science company” like Monsanto has more lawyers on its payroll than scientists and when General Electric has more lawyers on its payroll than electrical engineers [maybe I'm being facetious there], it becomes clear where their priorities lay:
NOT in improving the lives of its customers through better products, but taking advantage of every tiny loophole built into the law by their own paid staff of lawyers and legislators.
Hi Eric !
I Really like the work you are doing. I am a little pressed for time so I will make this quick. I spoke to Dianne(dsheets@garynull.com) about the great respect I have for what you have been doing. Gary Null runs the Progressive Radio Network. Please go there and check out the Gary Null Show. Your recent focus on issues of the legitimacy of vaccines, GMO’s, food security and integrity tells me that you really have to make yourself familiar with the work of Mr. Null. In fact, I would LOVE to see you having a show on the PRN. Mr. Null has a Phd. in clinical nutrition and is one of the most powerful voices around on issues of health and nutrition. And. he backs up everything he presents with extensive references to peer reviewed journals. However, that is only a part of the issues that he deals with. I strongly suggest that you familiarize yourself with his body of work. Thanks again for your efforts. Indeed,”We are all Chavez!” Steve.
I am a huge fan of Gary Null. I listen to his show almost every day. He is a little tough to nail down as he is very busy and generally does not do a ton of interviews. I spoke to him about it at a screening of his recent movie “Seeds of Death” but it has not happened yet. Will keep working on it. Thanks for the suggestion though, Gary Null is amazing, I agree.
Dear Eric
I seen your interview with Daniel Bushel on Russia Today.
It’s totally amazing that Liberals condone the same Tortue practices that George W.Bush did.
Because it’s Obama doing it.
Wow this just makes one feel like they never left High School after graduation.
Now Obama and the liberals are the Kings of the Hallway, their the Cool Incrowd.
Soo it’s okay for them to Tortue people
Hi Eric,
Great interview with Rebel Diaz. Today is election day in Venezuela. La Lucha Sigue. I want to share this video with you. It is a very mature song by Rebel Diaz. Impressive since they are so young and yet have such a grasp on social currents. This song has deep roots for the labor movement in the United States. Originally written in the 1930s, it embodies the mine workers struggle during a violent and tragic time in American history. The struggle of mine workers in Appalachia and let us not forget the battle of Blair Mountain. Very powerful re-make by Rebel Diaz…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Dr05tXktSo
I recently made a video which shows how the CIA created Al Qaeda and used it to prevent the Palestinians from getting a state. Here it is, in case you are interested:

wanted to speak to you on collaborations. Most people seem to know all this stuff about how criminal all the politicians and national players are but how to get them out of their positions is not really considered. Its about the financial model and we can change it and see a change in the systems and what is rewarded. The debt system induces poverity, war, fascism and depressions with bubbles to destroy complete economic sectors. Its a system that does not work in a newer better technological world. Anyway think we may have some of the answers but going up against these brutal militaries is not it unless we have better weapons.
Hi Eric,
I’ve been following Stop Imperialism for a while and have seen your guest appearances on RT and Press TV. I’ve worked for years in the motion picture industry, but in my spare time, I’ve been researching domestic and foreign affairs, both in terms of economics and imperialism. After graduating from UCLA in Entertainment Business, I also studied U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security related matters.
For a few years myself and a partner of mine had a website called ‘Independent Word’ which we posted commentaries and articles on current events and controversial news stories. We took more of an alternative approach and steered away from left/right politics to a more independent/libertarian viewpoint.
Many of my articles featured critiques of NATO (including the wars in Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya), as well as US government debt, European sovereign debt, terrorism, wars, American politics and other international geopolitical news stories. Unfortunately, the website has since been taken down, as I didn’t have time anymore to write commentaries or opinion pieces.
But recently, I’ve had an urge to return to researching news stories that are not being covered by the mainstream news media. If you have contributors to Stop Imperialism, I would like to see about getting involved if you need contributors and fully understand if its all completely unpaid. I would be happy to send over sample of commentaries I wrote in the past.
Really, at this point, I am just anxious to return to news writing and to get more involved by trying to communicate with people across America to wake up to the growing problems around us, whether it is the expansion of NATO, current and future wars or the eventually collapse of our U.S. dollar system. Either way, people need to work together to spread the word.
All the best!
John Blythe
Hey Eric ,
I started listening to tarpley about 6 years ago and listened to his back catalogue on youtube , then when you came on his show I listened to your first podcast and have listened to every one since – well done for keeping it going , your show just gets better every week and you bring some good tunes too , when you played tangled up in blue on this one it took me back to my youth and I knew we are coming from a similar place. We are watching the wheels coming off the western powers and what you are doing is a valuable historical record. I’m pumped to see all those little red dots on your hits globe because it was sparse in the early days , I am the little red dot in Southampton UK , and it gives me faith to now see so many more , it makes me feel part of a global army of unconsenting folks. If you ever come to the UK you have somewhere to stay and you have a good chat to have down the pub !
Show of hands: Who first learned about Eric from his on-the-ground reports about Occupy back in the fall of 2011? Show of hands, please?
I did, and I’ll never forget it. Gripping reporting, and it became even more so through the weeks as Eric detailed the slow decline owing to internal factioning and infiltration by enemy agents.
I might confess a certain amount of anxiety toward the end, wondering if there would even be a “next report”, what with the threat of wholesale militarized police action.
Would Zucotti Park be turned into a Tianhamen situation? Would we see Gitmos established on mainland soil to contain “unwanted elements” indefinitely? Would Eric be among the “indefinitely detained”?
Yep. Powerful stuff. But, as we see, Eric’s moved from telephone reporting to some really great things.
…while dear Dr. Tarpley’s gotten angrier and angrier lately. Oh well.
For all of you Eric pls start to look at this information. In that is evidence that the tax burden on us that is discussed all day long bcs it is the debt that drives it, is a hoax and must be removed from the citizen of the United States of America. We are the hostages of the United States a corporation led by the Feds interest. That interest is only to produce debt burden on us.
Your 6 points overview today (13.3.2013) is really good ! I have sent you 20 dollars.
Eric,
I appreciate all the hard work you do and all the time you spend researching for your podcasts. Incredible job! I’m unemployed at the moment, but hope to be working soon. As soon as I find gainful employment, I will be contributing. In the meantime, I let everyone I know about your work. I want to know if you have heard this Hip-hop/Reggaeton song about Chavez. It would be wonderful if it went viral! If you ever decide to make your site bi-lingual, let me know. I’d be happy to help in any way. Thanks again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joIx2IrodUw Muere el cuerpo, pero no las ideas. Hasta siempre, Hasta la Victoria!
First there was Dan Abrahamson (Roy Shivers) then was Ignorance isn’t bliss, then there was duty now for the future/don’t believe the hype with josh, and now there’s you… keep it up
Dear Eric,
Have particularly appreciated your recent condemnations of Stephen Harper’s government (not ‘administration’ – we have a parliamentary system in Canada), even though, as you noted, it is bad for one’s health to even start ranting about him, and his gang.
I am very grateful for all your work. You have a teaching (of the best kind) approach, which is wonderful. You are very articulate. The way you describe things is unique and priceless – very visual. You are refreshingly polite, with sprinklings of “losing it”, which are particularly endearing, all the more because of the contrast with your normal presentation, and just because, you’re even polite when you’re, well, not! I love how you challenge people to electronic duels – very chivalrous!
A discussion between you and George Galloway, of the UK, would be one to look forward to. Is that possibly in the offing?
Keep Canada on your radar – we’re becoming more and more a puppet regime, a client state, a lapdop … for the USA, with each passing day. In fact, it’s getting so bad that I’m increasingly tempted to check my passport, just to make sure it actually still says “Canada” on it!
Thank you so much for your dedication to opening people’s eyes and minds, and truly educating us. And please, don’t change anything about how you do your programmes!
And to the people who are fortunate enough to listen to you or are considering listening to you, can we please honour Eric’s trojan efforts and give his analysis some true respect – by going out in the world and living it.
Take care of yourself.
Kind regards,

Greetings Eric,
I found you when Leon Pittard interviewed you. Yes the victors always write history. But who have been the victors thru history the last 2000 years. History is not being rewritten, but the important history is not taught and has been swept out of our minds. That’s all I want to express, I don’t think that my view should be expressed here.
Maybe you could give me a answer on email first.
Thanks, Keep on Keeping on,
Walt Stickel
I’m sure you saw this – but – just in case…

Thanks for fixing the media gallery. Now I notice (2/3/13) that the iTunes store has the Stop Imperialism podcast available for subscription but the latest episodes are #55 and the Reality Principle #13. The web site is up to #57 now and I like to keep current so am manually downloading the latest episode. Hopefully Apple will catch up soon.
In your opinion why did the Assad regime not offer political dialog and change 22 month ago when the the opposition movement was peacefull and change could have been achieved without violence? Andrew
This was one of the mistakes Assad made early on. There were inflitrators stirring up violence right at the outset, go back and read the accounts of unidentified snipers shooting indiscriminately into the protestors in Daraa and elsewhere. I think at that time Assad though that he should not and could not make any distinctions between peacful opposition and terrorist opposition. A tactical mistake in my opinion. If he had an opportunity to do it over again, I think he’d be much quicker to the political dialogue option to develop strategy with the peacful opposition to have reform AND root out the terrorist infiltrators.
Now of course, it’s far too late for that.
The problem has been that the “opposition” isn`t really Syrian I think, but rather a confusing jumble of fanatics, dupes, criminals and terrorists from outside. Particularly from east Libya, where al Qaida has been recruiting loons for a decade or more..
I consider the demand that Assad takes such a foreign run insurgency as legitimate partners in any diplomatic process to be preposterous. They are criminals and should be treated accordingly. And besides: it wouldn`t have mattered what Assad did, because this is not about humanitarianism or any other legitimate concerns, but about isolating Iran, squeezing Russia out of the Mediterranean and preventing CHina from trading in the region in general.
You might remember that Ghadaffi was stupid enough to attempt appeasement with the degenerate war criminals running NATO, which our noble leaders used to infiltrate Libya and prepare their slimy destruction of this well functioning nation state. The same would happen to Syria as soon as it accepts NATO terrorists as proper humans. They`re not.
Love the new site and am an avid listener to your podcasts here and on Boiling Frogs. Would love to watch some of the videos linked on your site…
The media gallery should be working now. You might need to go into your internet options and clear your cache (temp files). that’s what I had to do and it works now for me. Let me know if you’re still having problems.
