Eric Draitser of sits down for an in depth conversation with radical scholar and activist Anthony Monteiro.  They discuss the political and social implications of the recent events in Baltimore, including a careful analysis of the language and character of the media coverage.  Draitser and Monteiro tackle some of the difficult questions of organizing and movement-building both within local communities and on a national and international scale.  They examine the geopolitical situation around the world, and how that must be incorporated into a comprehensive understanding of the challenges before activists and revolutionaries in the US and beyond.  Monteiro also provides his personal insights into the political and cultural significance of his close friend Mumia Abu-Jamal who is currently battling a major health crisis.  Finally. Eric and Tony talk about resistance and how the people must arm themselves for the inevitable fight to come.
